Sophie joined Global Access Partners in February 2019 as a research assistant. She supports the team in a multitude of duties and activities by gathering data and collating information for research-based projects. She also contributes to the GAP social media profiles.

Sophie trained as a ballet dancer at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin. As a result of her ballet training, she has a passion for health and wellness, and is particularly interested in the benefits of plant-based eating on minimising carbon emissions and fighting lifestyle diseases. Sophie is intent on exploring how diversity and equality can be achieved across a broad spectrum of industries and is passionate about achieving income equality.

Sophie is currently studying a Bachelor of Global Studies, majoring in Communications and sub-majoring in German, at the University of Technology, Sydney. She has enjoyed customer service roles in hospitality and retail and works as a retail assistant for a luxury Australian designer.

She hopes to pursue a career with social impact. Sophie has a keen interest in media and Australian foreign policy, and is particularly interested in Australia’s involvement with global efforts to fight climate change. She is passionate about fashion, sustainability, dance and travel and enjoys immersing herself in other cultures wherever possible.
